“Super” Real Forio: here are Simone Di Meglio, Tarascio and Yeboah the top targets

The island market is heating up. Football is still far away, waiting for the official registrations and the compositions of the groups, but the market negotiations are already starting to shake up the football summer. The island clubs are taking their first steps between confirmations, objectives and strategic maneuvers. On one side there is Ischia Calcio by Pino Taglialatela who, having put aside the corporate uncertainties, is trying to relaunch itself thanks to the renewed managerial impetus and the intervention of Lello Carlino.
On the other hand, Luigi Amato's Real Forio, which aims to consolidate a technical project that is now well underway and to strengthen itself in view of the next season. At home Ischia, the desire is to start from solid foundations to face the third consecutive season in Serie D.
The ownership has expressed its intention to improve performance compared to last year, aiming for a more linear championship and less affected by internal turbulence. At the moment, however, there is no work yet on the names: the priority is the officialization of the new coach and the technical staff, a fundamental step to then think about the backbone to be confirmed and the reinforcements to be inserted in the various departments.
Real Forio is more dynamic, coming off an exhilarating season, closed with the extraordinary playoff run that inflamed the fans. The black and green management does not want to stop: the sports year is over, the club has already resumed work with a series of announcements that certify the continuity of the project. The first piece is the confirmation of Carlo Sanchez. The management block has also been renewed, starting with the two directors, Vito Manna and Nicola Pisani, supporters of a careful and ambitious acquisition campaign.
Another heavy blow is the renewal of striker Luigi Castagna, ready to lead the Forian attack with his decisive plays. As anticipated in recent days, Real Forio has put the spotlight on two former Ischia players: Peppe Mattera and Filippo Florio. The first was one of the key elements of the yellow and blue defense in the season just ended, contributing decisively to the salvation. The second, a full-back with an important past, ended his experience on the island early and comes from a period of inactivity. The club believes in the double operation and remains in pressure to give both to mister Sanchez. But it does not end here.
The new black and green goals: between youth and strategy Working away from the spotlight, Manna and Pisani are building an ambitious mosaic, composed of young, motivated and functional profiles for the coach's game. Among the names closest to wearing the black and green jersey is Simone Di Meglio, born in 2004 and a midfielder with great potential. After a lackluster year between Grosseto and Vibonese, Di Meglio is preparing to return to the island with the desire to relaunch himself.
The twenty-year-old, already a protagonist with Ischia in 2023/24 (27 appearances and 2 goals), is able to cover multiple roles: from midfield to three-quarters, passing through the wings. A versatile profile and grown in island football, ready to regain confidence and minutes. But the Manna-Pisani tandem has clear ideas and is not limited to returns. To strengthen the midfield, they are looking with interest at Antonio Tarascio, fresh from his stint with Ercolanese. A substantial midfielder, Tarascio can guarantee balance, physicality and experience.
His curriculum also includes winning passes with Pompei and San Marzano. A graft that, if confirmed, would significantly raise the reliability and maturity rate of the midfield. The biancoverdi are also active in attack: the hot name is that of David Nana Yeboah Johnson, a striker with a recent past at Sarnese and coming off a positive season with Heraclea. Speed, physical strength and an eye for goal are his main characteristics. He could be the ideal profile to complete the Forian offensive department with a different solution than Castagna.
The directors' vision The one traced by directors Manna and Pisani is a coherent and far-sighted technical path. Far from facade operations, the management duo is building a balanced team, focusing on valuable elements, motivated to get involved and capable of integrating into a project that aims to grow season after season. The work carried out in synergy between the pitch and the desk is the true strength of this Real Forio, which once again is a candidate to be one of the most interesting realities in the Campania football scene. The negotiations are only just beginning, but the island is preparing to experience another summer full of emotions, between challenges, dreams and twists. And the market, as always, is the first theater on which ambitions move.
